I have probably walked past the Rock Garden in Southsea many times without noticing that it was there. Then Sue suggested it would be a good place for an engagement shoot.
She was right, what a great place! It was a beautiful afternoon so there were quite a few people around, but with all it's little nooks there were plenty of places we could shoot without any random strangers appearing in the photo.
Using the quiet areas also helped them get over their nerves. Everyone is a little nervous to start with but it only took a couple of minutes for them to relay and get in to the swing of it.
We ventured out of the garden and on to the Promenade. The shelters offered some shade from the sun which, at times, was quite strong.
As another fun engagement shoot drew to a close we talked about the wedding and how the plans were going. It's not long now!

In the historic St. Mary's Church, Alverstoke, Lesley and Alexander stood before the alter. After all the planning and preparation, the day had arrived, and they were now husband and wife.
Like most grooms, Alexander occasionally looked nervous as he waited for his bride. As the music started and the doors opened the nerves vanished and there were smiles all around.
There were a few tears too, but soon the celebration swept them away. At the reception, the adults talked whilst the younger ones played golf. Lots of catching up to do with friends and family not seen for a long time.
At the end of the day many took to the dance floor whilst others decided to try their luck at the roulette wheel or play a few hands of poker.
Congratulations Lesley and Alexander!
